CoreExpress-ECO Evaluation Kit
The CoreExpress evaluation kit contains all hardware and software necessary to test
and evaluate the CoreExpress-ECO board.
The CoreExpress-ECO module is an advanced technology computer on module (COM) based on the Intel Atom Z5xx
processor. This processor offers the best performance-per-watt figures of an X86 module and is complemented by a chipset
with integrated graphics. It comes with 2 PCI Express lanes, 8 USB ports, PATA and other digital-only buses.
The evaluation kit comes in a sturdy carrying case and contains the CoreExpress-ECO
module, mounted on a carrier board, a large 13.3" TFT display panel, all required cables and
a power supply. To ease software setup, either Windows XP or Linux is pre-installed on the
included Compact Flash disk. A complete documentation set rounds the kit off. 
The evaluation kit is covered by three free hours of direct manufacturer support.
The user only needs to connect a USB keyboard and mouse, the provided display panel,
and possibly a USB based touch module, to get a fully operating demo system.
CoreExpress-ECO EPIC Carrier Board
The carrier provides standard connectors for all of the CoreEpress-ECO’s interfaces. It comes wth a Mini-PCI Express slot, ("Mini Card"), a CompactFlash, and SD Card slot. A LAN interface is on board, as well as USB 2.0 ports, serial interfaces, and an audio codec. Additionally, a backup battery is integrated.
The carrier's functionality can be extended using standard PC/104 or PC/104-Plus peripheral boards.
Please note that the CoreExpress-EPIC carrier board is only available as part of the CoreExpress-ECO Evaluation Kit. It is not sold separately.
